Our Story

Waterloo Region’s Gender-Based Violence Strategy brings together organizations committed to ending gender-based violence. Our Leadership Table plays a crucial role in addressing the root causes of this issue and driving systemic social change through advocacy and collaboration. The strategy unites local leaders and organizations dedicated to combating gender-based violence across the region. By fostering partnerships and sharing resources, we work toward creating lasting change and building a safer, more inclusive community.

Our three service coordinating committees are dedicated to supporting the community in navigating different forms of gender-based violence. These committees focus on enhanced collaboration and providing resources and support to individuals affected by Human Trafficking, Domestic Violence, and Sexual Violence.
